The sun finally made a brief appearance, so may I present our finished kitchen:
It is such a pleasure to be there now that the walls are all the same color and not scratched up. I'd still like to find window treatments, though I'm not sure yet what kind. Suggestions?
Here is the 180 degree view, below. Stove, etc, is to the left.
Rosie says, "Hello! You have to see the new bowls that we got when our person went on a birthday shopping trip -- aren't they cute?"
They are pink. They have cats on them. How could I not get them for my girls?! I only wish they had a blue or green version for Tim.
Two days ago, I blocked the Shine Jacket and the trim. I didn't use pins because I was afraid the yarn would snag. You can see the blue rubber gloves in the photo that I'm now using to handle this project -- that's how delicate (and annoying!) this yarn is. Now to attach the trim!
Thank you to my sister L for the blocking squares!
This Sunday marks the beginning of the spring series of training races for local cyclists. That means spring is just as good as here! The weather is supposed to be warm and sunny and I'll be out snapping photos of Chris and our friends. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!
Oh, your kitchen looks beautiful! I love the color - and the softness of it.
Spoiled babies got new dishes, I see. I just ordered Killian some new toys...

The kitchen looks fabulous! I seeing it all put together. It seems like the perfect place to just sit and eat and talk.
As far as window treatments, it could be fun to make some curtains. Find a really fun fabric and sew some up. Or even knitted ones could be cute.
Can't wait to see the jacket all done up!

What a beautiful kitchen, right down to the kitty bowls! Are the walls a celadon green, or is it just the light that looks that way?
Plus, I am pretty sure that your kitchen is as large as our first floor ... !
That looks like a very delicate, but very pretty jacket. I can't wait to see it all put together.

I can't wait to see the little jacket completed.

A belated Happy (significant) birthday!
The kitchen looks so fresh and welcoming. And the kitty dishes are purr-fect!

Your kitchen looks great! No clue on window treatments... The kitty bowls are a nice addition. :)

The "new" kitchen looks lovely - I can just picture spending time in there in the coming months as the sun streams in & you have a bounty of fresh produce on the counter. For window treatments, I would go simple - maybe a valance of linen handkerchiefs of napkins?

Your "new" kitchen looks beautiful! Love that shade of green. I would not cover up the beautiful trim around the window -- maybe a Roman shade or swag valance inside the window frame? or large slat wood venetian blinds? (in white)
Can't wait to see the finished sweater!

Your kitchen looks wonderful! I like the color. No suggestions on window treatments though. I haven't been very good with my own windows. Cute kitty bowls too!

Your kitchen looks gorgeous! And the little pink bowls are so adorable. Wow--I can't believe how fragile your yarn is--you must be super annoyed! Handling it with gloves isn't a bad idea. :-)

It's SO pretty and bright! The color reminds me of vintage Jadite glass. Well done!
