I finished the front and back of Breton Girl!
I used the red Knit Klips to hold them together, to give you an idea of what the body shape looks like. I have something I want to fix at the neckline before seaming, but for now, I've started working on the sleeves. I'm knitting those two at a time too. This project has taken too long as it is, and knitting the pieces two at a time gives me the illusion that it's going faster.
Normally I like to have two projects to alternate with, an easy one and a hard one, for variety. But I want to finish this so much that it's all Breton Girl, all the time. Then I hope to get back to my beaded seashore scarf, and maybe even try Paloma again.
How are your summer projects going?
This is gorgeous! How long does it take you to knit something like this? And do you generally knit for yourself? I have not worked on my needlework project for a couple of weeks now. I have it sitting on top a bin next to my bed and pretty soon it is going to start collecting dust. Hopefully I can work on it this weekend. Lately I've been wanting to read more than stitch, which is part of the problem (even as I contemplate starting a new project!).

It's looking great; shaped garments are so flattering. Knit on!

It's beautiful. I love the shaping on that. I was thinking, I need to knit more things that have waist shaping. Boxy tops are just not flattering on me, but I've always had a slim waist, so I should be highlighting that area.

It looks nice and very nautical! I'm impressed that you can knit a sweater with a 25 stitch/4" gauge. I don't know if I will ever attempt one with that fine a gauge. I'm currently working on Nadine from French Girl Knits and I'll take a progress photo shortly so that I can blog about it.

Very pretty! I love the colors, too.
I'm working on the boy-child's socks right now, but I swear, they're going 10X slower than the girl-child's. ::sigh::

Your Breton Girl looks lovely - I love the blue you used, it seems very bright while also being calming.

That is going to be an adorable sweater. I seem to be on a sock kick at the moment.

Good job finishing those body sections! I hope the sleeves go quickly. It's going to be a great top for you, hopefully you will be wearing it soon!

Looks great!! Those knit clips look awful useful, didn't even know they existed...
I know what you mean, though-- I have my "easy" ribbed hat in my bag but i'm so determined with my silly checkerboard that I haven't even picked it up this month. I just want the board finished!
Congrats on the finished body! Can't wait to see it finished!!

Congratulations!
My summer projects are going slowly. So very, very slowly. I can't believe it's August already!
