My name is Rainy. I was adopted from Forgotten Felines on Tuesday night. I'm about 6 years old, and a small girl, due a little bit to being hyperthyroid. Now that I'm on medication, I'm doing much better. The shelter person who rescued me gave me my name because I was found on a rainy night.
My new Persons came to the shelter looking for a gray striped kitty like their Charlie, that was talkative and affectionate. I'm not gray striped, but I am very talkative and affectionate, so I went up and introduced myself to them. What did I have to lose? When they left the shelter, they couldn't stop thinking about me [she is one of the sweetest girl cats you would ever want to meet!], so they made arrangements for me, and now I have this great new place to live. Which just goes to show you that sometimes if you take a risk, you just might get what you want.
One of the many nice things about a new home is that my female person bought special things just for me. I don't have to share them like I did in the shelter. Want to see what she got me?
I think she is happy that she has a girl kitty, don't you?
Cute! She looks like a sweetie!

Welcome, Rainy!! I love all the pink kitty stuff. And I'm a sucker for tortie (and especially dilute tortie) cats, so I think you're gorgeous.

it's nice to find a new home - and sometimes, though we may have gone through difficult times, Rainy, you'll see that the path that lead you to the pink and spoiled home you now have makes that journey very much worth it! play nice with your brother! :)

I'm so glad that you and Rainy found each other!
This is absolutely the best way to honor your love for Charlie, and he must have had a paw in bringing you and Rainy together.

Rainy, you are such a pretty little girl! I am sure you will love your new home and brother Tim, as well as both of your great persons!

Yay! She's a pretty girl. How's Tim liking the lady-friend?
There's a little kitty who I find on my doorstep many mornings (I've named her petunia). I'm worried that she is homeless...I think I am going to put a collar on her (breakaway) and write a note. If she is homeless, I'll bring her to a no-kill shelter.

New kitty! She is lovely - torties are my favourites (so why do we have two tabbies at home? Cos they adopted us!).

What a cutie Rainy is!
And I live the pink cami from a couple of days ago (I'm just catching up from being nearly internet-less in Sierra Leone!)
Posted by: Rebecca | November 15, 2007 at 03:45 PM
She's lovely. Such a confident gaze into the camera! And what a good excuse for you to indulge in pink :-)
I wish you all a long and happy relationship.

Oh, I'm so glad you have a new kitty to love. (Jeez, I wrote "knitty" there and had to go back to correct it...) Rainy is cuteness itself - I love those funny little tortoiseshell girls. It's a tweed colorway, be still my heart! I hope Tim will accept her and she'll feel like part of the family in no time. And I got a laugh over her Barbie Dreamhouse carrier and litterbox set. I didn't know they made such things!
Posted by: Sarah | November 16, 2007 at 03:39 PM
Oh my gosh! I seriously should read your blog chronologically! Congrats on the adoption of Rainy! What a cutie-patootie!
