I like to think that every time another pet is rescued and adopted, a bell rings in heaven and there is much rejoicing.
One must have rung Sunday night, when Rosie came home to live with us. She had been dumped off with her kittens at the shelter by a previous owner at the end of September. The kittens have all been adopted, and now it's time for her, only a year old, to be a kitten herself.
She's still getting over a cold, so we have to keep her separated from Rainy and Timmy. Hopefully we can let her out of her room this weekend. She's anxious to explore her new house!
Ah, the stripes. I miss those.
"Hi Everyone!! I'm finally home!! YAY!!"
If you would like to join us on Saturday morning, 10-12ish, at Mystic River Yarns in Mystic CT for the knitting meet-up, please do! Please RSVP to me at adamsdebra AT sbcglobal DOT net or to Kristen at Audioknits. We would like to make sure we have enough space for everyone -- the shop is on the small side.
Rainy in the napkin basket!
We wish you all a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving with your loved ones, furry and otherwise.
Welcome, Rosie! She is adorable, and looks so petite to already have had a litter of kittens herself. She and Rainy should get along well and have a lot of fun together, much to Timmy's disdain, no doubt. Cookie thinks she has a twin upon seeing Rainy in the napkin basket. Happy Thanksgiving to all, and looking forward to Mystic River Yarns on Saturday.

My Big, Fluffy Kitty came to me as a rescued adult and has been the most wonderful addition to my home. Rosie is a very, lucky girl to live with such good people.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving together!

She's cute! The stripes even look like a dress on her.

Most of my kitties are rescued kitties. My tiger, Phoebe, was abandoned with her one kitten when her so called family moved away. I just don't understand some people! Thankfully, though, there are people like you and Chris to love these kitties!
Love the picture of Rainy in the basket :-)
I hope yhou all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Another cutie! Rosie looks like a skinny version of Scout. I can just imagine her modeling baby sweaters.

Twice the fun for you, if not for Timmy. Happy Thanksgiving!

She's just a baby! I hope she gets over her cold quickly, so she can meet the rest of her new family.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Rosie is a cutie. She reminds of Nellie, a cat I used to have. I hope she gets over her cold soon so she can explore the rest of her world.

Hi, Rosie! Chaos's mom was a teenage mom, too. That picture of Rainy is TOO CUTE. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

I'm so sorry to hear about Charlie.
I hope that Rosie & Rainy can ease some of the pain, leaving only happy memories!
P.S. Rosie is so very cute :)

Hi Rosie! You're so sweet too!
Wow, it must be a lot of fun at your place these days with not one but two new family members!

A warm welcome to Rosie! She does deserve to enjoy her youth, and I'm so glad that you adopted her. It's often difficult for shelters to adopt out cats and dogs who have been dumped with their litters -- the kittens and puppies are scooped up, but the mothers stay for a long time.
And now Timmy has *two* girls to deal with! It's sort of like Three's Company, Feline Edition.

Oh, how cute she is! And Rainy is adorable, too! Congrats on your new cat adoption.

Beautiful kitties! I'm making Caroline, too--it goes really fast (I'm halfway through the second sleeve) but I ran out of yarn and am waiting for more to arrive. I'm a little worried about the crochet part, though.

Congrats on the new kitty! She's adorable! I always like to hear about people adopting older animals. I got simba when she was 9 mo. and couldn't be happier.

Beautiful new kitty babies! I may be getting a new baby myself this month -- I'm still weighing it up.

Rosie's a beautiful little kitty! I'm a sucker for the stripes, too - I've always wished Mingus were a stripier guy than he is. I have to content myself with his tail and the insides of his legs, mostly. But seriously, Debby, if you keep bringing home new cats every two weeks poor Tim is just going to be apoplectic under your bed. Give him an extra pat for me, okay? And Mingus sends his heartiest sympathetic meows.
