It's been a casting on kind of week.
First, the Caroline sweater with the Louet Yarn. In the photo you can hopefully see the "holes" that form the zig zag design.
Second, the pink mohair mittens I've had listed in the "Dreaming About" column (left side of blog) forever. The cuff seems a bit long, but maybe the designer intended it to be worn folded? I don't have a photo with the pattern so I'm guessing.
Third, a small and simple Christmas knit I can't show yet, because the recipient may read my blog. All three of these can be car knitting and are definitely TV knitting. I'm still working on the camisole too, but I haven't come up with a re-design of the top that I like yet.
Our new kitty Rainy has made herself right at home. Tim has sequestered himself in our bedroom in protest. I know he'll come out eventually, but I feel sorry for him. And someone else might be moving in this weekend...
Oh, what fun to have some fresh new projects to work on! I love the casting on part and all the anticipation of what it will look like!

Oh, you tease - "someone else might be moving in this weekend"??

Someone else might be moving in? That's pretty mysterious! :) Your new projects look great! Those mittens are going to be beautiful and so "you."

Those look like fun new projects to knit. You know we'll all be waiting to find out who the "someone else" is. :)

Oh, the joy of casting on! I hope Tim comes around soon, especially if there may be another "someone else"!

I hope it's a new pet and not, you know, your in-laws or something! (Who I'm sure are very nice people.)
I am astounded by your perseverance with that camisole, by the way. Good luck with the redesign!

I actually prefer a long cuff on a mitten. On those mornings I have to clean off the truck, I really appreciate having that extra coverage up my sleeves!
Poor Tim...I'm sure he'll get past it, though. And I'm all excited with the wondering about who is coming next!

Those knits look great so far. Which sweater is Caroline (where is the pattern from?) Glad Rainy is feeling at home; I'm sure Tim will adjust to her soon, as well as any other new arrivals!! :)

Nice new projects! I'm with Annie; I like a longer mitten cuff. I usually make mine longer than the pattern calls for.
Poor Tim (but he will adjust; really he will). Can't wait to hear who's moving in!

Oh, you can't do that! Tease us like that...
Poor Tim! Isn't it funny how they react? Just like people...

I don't think the mitten cuff is too long -- it's nice to have them long enough to cover your entire wrist.
I do think that Tim will get over it and develop a friendship with Rainy over time. But I do wonder who else is moving in????

Pretty stuff. I'm trying very hard not to cast on for some new projects right now. Must. Finish. Sweater!
