What a difference a season makes! And a new real estate agent. Our house went up for sale on Tuesday evening, and we've had two offers with at least one more expected shortly. My front door has become one of the revolving type; so far the kitties are coping well, but I'll be happy when we decide on an offer next week and the visits will cease for their sake. Stress is not good for an IBD kitty, speaking of which...
I owe you all a GYGIG fundraising update, which I promise to post soon. If anyone would still like to contribute to the fundraiser, and be entered into the prize drawing, please try to do so by next Friday, so we don't miss you on the donation report, which tends to come to us a week later. The two prizes that will be drawn Memorial Day weekend (probably Friday night) will be the $30 gift certificate (three days) and the lovely lace yarn from Katie at Live 2 Knits. We can't thank you enough for your support. Chris has been talking to people at his work about the ride, and has discovered a few co-workers with loved ones who have really suffered from this disease. One family is thinking of traveling all the way to NYC to the start line just to see the riders off, who are doing this "for their daddy." It makes me cry just thinking about it, and not just cause I'm way overtired.
I feel terrible I have no knitting to post for you. I'm *still* finishing the last details of the mystery gift. I had another problem with it that I should be able to work out, if I could only sit for ten minutes and just do it. The Helen's Lace pie wedge shawl is coming along ever so slowly, and I am back to where I left off before I had to frog it. Once I have progress on that worth showing you, I'll put up a new photo.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend, filled with lots of sunshine, flowers, and great knitting. If you are a mom or like a mom to someone, whether two-legged or four-legged, I wish you a happy mother's day too.
Poor kitties! We crated our dogs when we had showings. It kept them calm. I guess you can't do that with cats, though. Have a great weekend!

The last time people came to look at our place, one cat practically crated himself (he hid under the bed) while the other cat rested proudly on a table and let the visitors scratch him.
That's great news about the offers!

How wonderful that you are getting multiple offers on the house! I hope that you manage to find some stress-free time this weekend, and set aside time for yourself to work out the mystery gift problem.

I'm so glad that there has been progress on the sale of the house. I know how stressful it can be for everybody in the home as the process goes on. I've had no knitting to show for a while now and not even half as good an excuse! I'm impressed that you've been able to do all that you've done! Where do you find the energy????

With as much going on as you have going on, I would be surprised if you had knitting to post! Good news about the house!
Chaos is Mr Stress Kitty. If I'm a few hours late getting home from work and feeding him, he'll eat and then throw up. Tonight the lawn service started to mow while he was eating. He bravely finished eating and then threw up. Not QUITE time for prozac for him, but....
Have a good rest of the weekend!

Yay for the new real estate agent! Our dogs freak out if the neighbors are in their own yard. I can't imagine how much fun they'd be with people in the house. I hope you get the perfect offer soon.

oh yay! yay! yay!
I'm so happy that you'll finally be selling your house! Now you need to start looking for a new place. (I assume the one you wanted last year is not available anymore.) Finding the new place was a bit for stressful for me :-)
hug!
