One consolation is the extra knitting time. Picot camisole version 2.0 is on the needles. Should I mention having picked up the stitches backwards this time, leaving me to purl the back instead of knit the front, to make the stockinette stitch? Do you think this will work out OK? I've picked up 204 stitches this time, instead of the original 220. The upcoming waist decreases take the stitch count to 180 in the middle of the camisole, so by doing less decreasing now and less increasing at the top, I'm hopeful the gauge evens out and there will be no more rippling of the knitting at the border. I'll be trying this on as I complete the sections in case further adjustments are needed.
My last issue of Knit Simple arrived this week. There is a lacy shawl, knit in bamboo yarn on size 10 needles, that looks like a great first lace pattern if you want to try lace. Other than the shawl, the patterns seem plain, or in some cases a little odd, which sadly confirms letting my subscription run out. I think I will subscribe to IK instead.
Charlie went for his monthly checkup on Wednesday, and we're overjoyed that he's gained 1/3 of a pound. He's now just a bit under 8 lbs. Hopefully this will continue!
I don't think you'll be disappointed with IK. It's in a class entirely by itself, and I don't understand why more magazines don't follow its lead. I'm not saying I love every pattern, but they're generally really nice to look at even if there are things I wouldn't know.
Fingers crossed for version 2.0 of the camisole!

Congrats to Charlie on his weight gain. I'd be happy to send him a pound of two of my extra weight if that would help... ;)
Good luck with the redo of the camisole. I hope take 2 is a better fit than the first one was turning out to be. Do you switch needle sizes at any point or is it knit on the same size for the whole tank?

Seriously. Spring, where are you?!
I think the camisole is looking so lovely! I love the color you picked too.

Yay for Charlie! What a trouper!
Unlike that groundhog who did, indeed, lie like a rug. Shame on him...
The camisole is looking lovely!

Way to go, Charlie!
I like IK, too. Do not get Knit 'N Style. I ordered that from my neighbor during the school magazine sale. I've been very disappointed in it.

I like IK. It has a good mix of articles and patterns I might actually wear.
Yay Charlie! Glad to hear he's doing well.

It's great to see that Charlie is doing so much better! And it's very odd to think that you have all that snow when I can look out my window and see blooming trees and green leaves. The weather is truly odd this year.

Sorry, you can't move on to summer yet, we're still using it down here!

The ground hog lied here too!

Looks like a perfect weekend for knitting!! I'm glad to hear that Charlie is doing so well!!

Good job, Charlie! He got his plumping seasons mixed up but who could blame him with the weather we've had this winter. Byron hasn't had a reweigh but he is eating well. The cami is so pretty. Go for IWK

The cami is looing real purty! 1/3 of a pound?! Wow! Charlie is turning into a real chubsie-ubsie! Good for him!

I really like how the bottom edging is coming out. I've gotten somewhat of an obsession with bottom edges. Not that I'll have time to do anything once I find one I like.
I love Interweave Knits. I'm letting my TKGA membership run out, because the magazine is so weak.
