I'm very impressed with your progress on the skirt! It's looking great.

Your skirt is looking almost ready yo wear!!
I agree about knitting blogs. I think lots of people stopped blogging and moved holus bolus to The Ravelry. I like having my blog though.

Bridget

I can't wait to see the finished skirt, I love it so far!

We had a week of true spring weather, and it's been such a great one. However, starting tomorrow, it's supposed to rain for the next 3 days, pretty steadily. Spring weather too, but not nearly as much to enjoy ...

I agree with you about blogging, but I really enjoy having my blog, and love reading others, so I hope you'll share some of the suggestions you get. One of my faves (you may already read this) is my friend Carol's blog, Go Knit in Your Hat (http://goknitinyourhat.blogspot.com). Carol is a knit designer, but she also writes about books, her kids, and whatever strikes her. She is funny, and a good writer to boot.

Just my suggestion. Have a good weekend!

Susan

I feel the same way about knitblogs. I'm hoping to get back to posting more regularly on mine. . . maybe knitblogs will come back into fashion again. I don't care about being trendy, just want to enjoy the good company of other knitbloggers.

Kara

Yeah, a lot of the the knit blogs have definitely gone away. Even mine has changed a lot to include other things than knitting. I wonder if Ravelry made people feel like they didn't need to blog to share their knitting.

Also the skirt is looking so great!

Naomi

Ha, I just discovered YOUR knitting blog! I also like knittingonthenet.com and spinninginstead.blogspot.com and omi-creates.blogspot.com for random good yarn made fun. But I don't know any blogs dedicated to only knitting, sorry! I do love your blog though!

Hello,
How refreshing to see something in pink and so pretty. I've always wanted to knit a skirt. I have a couple patterns by Interweave saved in a notebook but yours is the sweetest I've seen to date. I agree, it is encouraging to see what others are making.

I'm cheering you on, since your skirt is almost done! You're on the dash to the finish line now.

Well, my own blog is primarily knitting, and I mainly knit sweaters, but from my point of view, it's discouraging because after so many years of blogging, I still have no readers! I figure it's because it's pretty boring since I don't talk much about any interesting personal tidbits. ( I'm too private a person to do that).

Kristen

You'll be wearing the skirt soon, just in time for summer weather!

I like blogging and reading knitting blogs, though there are only a few I follow regularly because time is limited. Some of my favorites have stopped blogging because of life changes like returning to school. I like Ravelry, but don't understand how it has an effect on knitting blogs.

The skirt is coming along nicely! I know what you mean about the knitting blogs. It does seem like they've dwindled. I know my own knitting content has. Maybe it's just hit a lull and it'll pick back up after a bit.

Sonya

Your skirt is going to be darling. You're really making progress. Ravelry definitely changed how I blog (or how much I neglect my blog). It looks like you're getting some good suggestions. I really like Knit Sisters.
