We have the trainer but it also gets used year round.

Injuries are SO frustrating, but I'm sure things will work out for your next big ride :)

I think I would rather be beaten with a big stick than ride a trainer. I have one, but try very hard not to use it unless it's an emergency--such as weeks of heavy snow and ice. As long as the roads are clear and not icy, I'm outside. My wife, on the other hand, can and does ride the trainer--she listens to books on CD.

Here in Western WA, trainers are really the only option some times. Everyone's got there own thing, movies, TiVo,or music. Personally, and I'm not making this up, I use my Xbox 360. Nothing like playing video football or NASCAR to vary up the workout...

Hey, hope your knee is healing, but I am wondering how Charlie is doing?

Last year I TRIED very hard to stay on the trainer. Couldn't do it. I go to the gym and take spin classes. And this year I'm doing the weight training class. But I've got to get extra cardio in, so I'm trying out the stairmaster at the gym. But I'm thinking about joining the place that has the really cool pool, and swim laps on Sat and Sun.
